![]() ![]() ![]() This brings us to The Shadow of the Gods a brand new series set in the world of VigriĆ° which was inspired by Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore that was released in May of last year. I also knew that whatever Gwynne wrote next I would read it. Both series were set in the Banished Lands with the events of the Faithful and the Fallen taking place before Of Blood and Bone, but upon finishing A Time of Courage I knew that my time in the world of the Banished Lands had come to an end. John Gwynne quickly established himself as one of my favorite authors last year when I devoured The Faithful and the Fallen and the Of Blood and Bone series. Originally, I had planned to read Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie, but then I remembered that Shadow of the Gods had been gifted to me for my birthday and the rest as they say is history. If you like to go in blind I will provide you with a TLDR paragraph at the end. ![]() Like always I will not spoil any plot details outside of some minor things. Welcome back my fellow thralls, berserkers, and Norsemen I am back to give you yet another fantasy review from one of my favorite authors John Gwynne! Before we jump into the review a little background information and disclaimers. ![]()
